About Us
The Story of Richard & Helen
Since 1985 — Crafted in London, with love.
It all started in 1985, in the corner of our tiny flat in London.
I was a young woman with a sewing machine and a stubborn kind of hope. Richard, my husband, believed in me before I believed in myself.
We didn’t have a shop on the high street, a team, or a grand plan. Just some fabric, two hands, and the idea that proper clothing could be more than just something you wear — it could carry strength, softness, and the quiet confidence a woman feels when she is truly herself.
We made each garment by hand at our kitchen table. Sometimes we worked through the night. Sometimes we laughed more than we stitched. But every piece we sent out carried something personal — not just our craftsmanship, but a part of our story.
"We stayed true to what we started: Creating a wardrobe that feels like it was made just for you — because it was."
Years passed. Seasons came and went. Styles changed. Life got busier. But even now, all these years later, we’re still here.
Still family-run. Still British. Still stitching care into every seam, every button, and every delicate fold of fabric.
This isn’t just a business. It’s our family’s story — and now, it’s part of yours too.
Thank you for letting us dress you all these years. We’re not done. In fact, we’re just getting started again.
With love,
Richard & Helen
